An Allowed Cloud is any type of rule that prohibits or mandates a certain action or condition. It could be a public law, a private order, or anything in-between. Sure, there's cool Allowed Clouds - much like how Homer Simpson called the old bankruptcy law the "cool law." But most Allowed Clouds are rather stifling.
Our first 'Pail Poll of 2009 asks you whether you will violate more or fewer Allowed Clouds in the new year. You can find this poll on the right-hand side of this blog.
My New Year's resolution for last year was to defy more Allowed Clouds than ever before - and, by golly, I kept this pledge. Join me in trying to make 2009 the greatest year ever for Allowed Cloud breakage!
