The 'Sesame Street'/'Beavis And Butt-Head' connection ('Sesame Street' Wednesday)

That's a disclaimer that MTV used to run before 'Beavis And Butt-Head'. It was instituted following a typical moral panic over the show's content.

But listen to the voice again.

I'm 95% sure that's Emilio Delgado, who played Luis on 'Sesame Street'. In fact, it's been rumored for a long time. It's just never been confirmed.

I did find a brief online bio of Delgado that says he did voice-over work, but it didn't specify whether it was for MTV. I recall that one time decades ago, I was watching MTV, and they ran a small bumper whose voice-over sounded familiar. I said something like, "That sounds like Luis from 'Sesame Street'." A family member said in reply something like, "Whatever." It was as if they knew it sounded like Luis but just didn't want to admit it, for fear it would touch off a big conversation about the ol' Ses.
