Local man dies in psychiatric prison

Psychiatric facilities long ago forfeited the privilege of being called hospitals, as these institutions behaved more like prisons. People confined there are not generally criminals, but they are punished harshly. In fact, these places have often become death camps. If the jackboot fits, wear it.

In November, a 48-year-old Fort Thomas man was killed after being restrained at a northern Kentucky psychiatric prison. He was pinned to the ground for 4 minutes after being injected with drugs he was allergic to. This occurred when he tried exiting the facility. He was followed outside by almost a dozen guards, who then ambushed and restrained him.

Press reports indicate that staffers then lied to the man's wife about the cause of death.

Now the man's family has filed a wrongful death suit.

This follows a 2016 lawsuit by the family of an Alzheimer's disease patient.

Psychiatric abuse is as old as psychiatry itself. Sadly, the media has never made it a priority to expose it. Everything else is considered a crisis – as long as they can make money off fear. But not this.
