Identify a lost '90s hit!

Occasionally, someone will comment here that they want to identify a lost song that used to be played on the radio, and sometimes I identify it right away (like the Peach Union song).

Now I've thought of a lost hit I need to identify. The song was a Smithereens sound-alike that was all over the radio at the end of 1999 and the start of 2000. It was a rock song but was played by pop stations. I'd forgotten about this song for years until tonight.

I'm not in the mood to buy a download of every song in the Hot 100 from New Year's 2000 just to find it. Odds are it was on the chart at the time though.
