Kentucky's fight against corporate dope pushers hamstrung by Bevin

The Republican Right doesn't care that people are dying from opioids. They never did care.

Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear, a Democrat, says Republican so-called Gov. Matt Bevin has been gunking up Kentucky's efforts to sue big companies that make addictive painkillers. Beshear's office has awarded a contract to 4 law firms to help file the suits, but the Bevin administration still hasn't approved the contract 3 months later.

Beshear has already sued Endo Pharmaceuticals, claiming the company has helped cause over 190 overdose deaths statewide.

Meanwhile, Beshear has also sued the embattled and unpopular Bevin 4 times because of his illegal abuse of executive orders.
