Ohio county loses votes

I'm starting to get the feeling that the Republican fix is already in, and the country is screwed for another 4 years. (Which it probably is anyway, thanks to the DLC's Republicanesque allergy to the Constitution, but that's a whole other matter.)

In Butler County, Ohio, officials have discovered a computer error that lost at least 105 votes in the recent primary election.

One hundred five votes might not have been enough to sway that election - but nobody knows if this error was repeated in other counties or in earlier elections. Half the counties in Ohio - including some big ones - use this same software to count votes.

The missing Butler County votes were found, but only after a close inspection. The normal methods of checking votes never would have caught the mistake.

How are we expected to trust the election results when errors like this happen? Are we supposed to just be good little woocaps and pretend as if this isn't going on? It's gone on for years, but lately it's gotten worse.
