The 'Net-grazing public continues to be in awe over Google's stonewalling of simple tasks.
And now there's even less of an excuse for Google to not fix its post removal feature.
Someone posted a message in Google's help forum complaining about the same thing I've been trying to point out to Google for months: Namely, their post removal tool doesn't work. True to form, Google didn't respond to this complaint anywhere I can see.
But then a Libertarian Party activist complained about Google's failure to clean up spam. His complaint was thoroughly justified, I might add. He said he had been complaining to Google for a month, and he quite rightly threatened to sue Google for sullying the party by not removing the spam-clogged group that bears the party's name.
I'm a registered Green. But who can blame any other party for not wanting its name misappropriated by Google?
To my surprise, a Google help rep actually responded to this post.
Why is this significant to the many fans of our POOP feature?
Because it bips.
Just joking!
It's important because it shows Google is actually ignoring complaints about the broken removal tool on purpose. If they saw the complaint about the spam, then surely they saw the complaint about the removal feature.
In the meantime, POOP shall continue until Google reacquaints itself with the basic standards that should be followed by any 'Net archive site.
