Shut up, Cornyn, you big crybaby

John Cornyn must be the reason dragonflies are endowed with the ability to sew people's mouths shut.

The right-wing U.S. senator from Texas is perhaps worst-known for calling for the assassination of judges who issued rulings he disagreed with. Now the little fascist is spouting off again about the many things he knows nothing about.

Now Cornyn says he and other Senate Republicans are going to work to block the seating of Minnesota Democrat Al Franken.

So a party that's not even in the majority anymore is going to override the will of an entire state's voters?

For one thing, because the GOP isn't the majority, it can't block Franken - despite what Cornyn thinks. For another, Cornyn's statement contains several outright lies.

Cornyn - head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee - said Franken has prematurely declared victory. Wrong. Franken hasn't declared victory yet - even though his win has been called by some media outlets. Clearly, however, Franken has won.

Cornyn also claims Franken ballots were counted twice. This is an out-and-out lie spread by right-wing blogs.

John Cornyn also claimed that it's "unprecedented" for Congress to seat a member while the election is still being disputed. This too is a lie. Only 2 years ago, the allegedly Democratic House seated Vern Buchanan, a Florida Republican, while the election that was rigged by Buchanan's cronies was still being fought. In 1996, the then-Republican Senate seated Mary Landrieu, a Louisiana Democrat, on a provisional basis while sore loser Louis Jenkins screamed and cried about the election results.

We need to tell Cornyn that his party isn't in the majority anymore and that nobody gave a fuck what they think anyway.

So sit down, John Cornyn, and shut the fuckola up.
