Because you think it's so damn funny when the words 'bubble gum' are uttered, this blog is constitutionally obligated to regale you with the story of a commercial involving gum on every weekend it is able.
One of the advantages of modern technology is that we won't run out of material as quickly as we otherwise would. In most of the world, peeps can now buy digital video cameras relatively inexpensively and upload their work to sites like YouTube - which gives us a steadier stream of material.
So they can make do-it-yourself ads - endorsements, if you will - of their favorite products. Since bubble gum is everybody's favorite product, homemade gum commercials aren't unheard of on YouPube.
Like this one for Bubble Yum:

That one was posted by someone in Malaysia and may have been a school assignment.
People bubble in that commersh. Oddly, people are much more likely to bubble in amateur bubble gum commercials than in the gum ads you see over the air.
The dilapidated furnishings in the scene from :12 to :16 look like that found at my first high school.
This ad also references Bubble Yum's '90s slogan: "Blow your own bubble." As if it is possible to blow someone else's bubble.
Gum. Still a topic of discussion on this blog after all these years!
