The Conservative Fool Of The Day is...Maria Bartiromo!

Don't think we can't have more than one Conservative Fool entry per day - especially considering how laughably idiotic the rightist brain trust has become lately.

And when CNBC business anchor Maria Bartiromo makes such a moronic argument as she made recently, what else can we do?

MSNBC hosted Bartiromo and Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-New York) for a health care discussion. Bartiromo grumbled about the British health care system (despite the consensus that Britain has a better medical system than we do). But the real blast of imbecility came when Bartiromo discussed Medicare.

Weiner pointed out that folks who get Medicare are much more satisfied with their health care than Americans who have to rely on private care. To that, Bartiromo asked Weiner why he doesn't use Medicare: "How come you don't use it? You don't have it. How come you don't have it?"

Because Weiner is only 45, you idiot!

Once when I was about 7, we had the TV on at school. When an ad for an insurance program for people over 65 came on, one of my classmates piped up and said, "I'm gonna buy that!" That's about what this story is like.
