CNN removes reporter for insulting extremists

I guess freedom of speech doesn't exist anymore.

Lately, Israeli extremists have openly cheered war crimes carried out by their government in the bombing of Gaza. In addition, they have threatened CNN correspondent Diana Magnay while she was reporting on events there.

Following these threats, Magnay posted on Twitter that those who threatened her are "scum." After this, CNN made Magnay apologize - and they removed her from this assignment.

I have mixed views about Mideast politics, but we should all agree that war crimes are unacceptable. And removing a reporter from the scene for accurately reporting them is a serious blow to CNN's journalistic integrity.

Then again, this probably wouldn't be an issue at Fox News. Considering Fox's history of supporting war crimes, I'm sure their reporters are out there cheering with the crowd.
