GOP loses House election in Pennsylvania in upset

In one of the biggest electoral upsets against the Republicans since Donald Trump seized power, the Democrats picked up a U.S. House seat in Pennsylvania by 0.3% in a special election yesterday. This seat went vacant when Republican Rep. Tim Murphy resigned in disgrace. Of course, Murphy hadn't been truly elected to his last 2 terms, because - in Soviet fashion - he was unopposed.

On the other hand, the Democrat elected to that seat yesterday was described as a "moderate" in media reports - which means he's more conservative than at least 80% of people, with the exception of the malcontents who constantly post right-wing memes on Facebook.
