Colorado man cuffed for being in public

It's as predictable as the day is long. Our right-wing overlords love a crisis, because it gives them an excuse to take our rights away.

Some folks said that nobody in any Western country would be arrested or handcuffed for violating the lockdowns unless their behavior is too egregious for the circumstances at hand. That was a lie. I knew it was a lie.

In Brighton, Colorado, a 33-year-old man was handcuffed by police at a park just for playing softball there with his family. He was cuffed and shoved into a police car in full view of his 6-year-old daughter.

The man had refused to provide identification - probably because America isn't supposed to be a right-wing police state. Well, guess what? It is now, unfortunately.

Who really violated social distancing guidelines? Small private gatherings are constitutionally protected. End of story. The police violated the guidelines by cuffing the man.

Is there any stretch of the imagination where this is even remotely acceptable?
