Child abuse returns to British schools

The thought police at the European Union has the resources to extradite an author to face criminal charges over an "offensive" book, but they won't do anything about the outrage in this story?

Right-wing British Education Minister Michael Gove has now ruled by decree that corporal punishment is to be reintroduced in British schools. This reverses a quarter-century-old ban on the archaic practice.

Gove says his ukase is in response to the recent riots. He fails to say what the connection between the riots and paddling is.

If the EU doesn't act against Gove's order, we'll know the EU is a big sham. Of course we know it anyway.
