Fox News rejects pro-Constitution ad

Something called the Center for Constitutional Rights has produced a TV commersh called "Rescue The Constitution." The ad is narrated by Danny Glover and accurately says that the Bush regime has been "destroying the Constitution" by engaging in renditions and torture.

Predictably, however, Fox News refuses to air the ad. Pox News account executive Erin Kelly sent an e-mail to the Center's Owen Henkley saying, "We cannot approve the spot with it being Danny Glover's opinion that the Bush Administration is destroying the Constitution. If you have documentation that it is indeed being destroyed, we can look at that."

How about all those people who get arrested every time they disagree with Bush when he shows his ugly mug at a partisan event in their city? That's in addition to the torture and renditions that are the topic of the ad.

This is part of a pattern for Faux News and its dedication to being an ideological propaganda organ. In 2005, it refused to run an ad that criticized Samuel Alito's rightist fartpipery. Despite rejecting the ads against Alito and Bush, however, Pox News approved right-wing advocacy ads that included lies about decorated war vets like John Kerry, Max Cleland, and John Murtha.

Yet Tantrum 95.7 is the one that gets shut down by the FCC?
