Jesse Ventura lost show over antiwar stance

Who says McCarthyism went out with hula hoops?

Anyone who has dared to publicly oppose Bush's illegal Iraq War has learned the hard way that it hasn't.

Now it's been revealed that Jesse Ventura lost his MSNBC show because he refused to support the war.

Over the weekend, Ventura told the Los Angeles Times that MSNBC shitcanned him in 2003 because of his antiwar stance. He said the channel nixed him after receiving phone calls that asked, "Is it true Jesse doesn't support the war in Iraq?"

These calls tried to make it sound like opposing the war was something really horrible. "Is it true??? Heaven forfend!!!"

Ventura's contract wouldn't let him go to any other network, so MSNBC just paid him to not have a show.

Since MSNBC went through the trouble of trying to buy somebody's silence over the war, why do the wingnuts get off saying MSNBC is a liberal network?
