Fake bull testicle ban fails

A Florida lawmaker sees fake bull testicles in his mind everywhere he turns. Must be obsessed with 'em.

State Sen. Carey Baker (a Republican, naturally) proposed legislation to impose stiff penalties for motorists who display bull testicle replicas on trailer hitches. Believe it or not, the Florida Senate actually passed this measure! It would have imposed a $60 fine and points against your driver's license.

Why??? What exactly is the problem they're trying to solve? I don't see any epidemic of bull testicles on trailer hitches, so maybe I'm missing something. Don't lawmakers have more important things to worry about?

So I guess it would still be legal to display real bull testicles? The bill only addressed fake testicles.

The proposal was included in the Senate version of the highway safety bill. But the House rejected that provision. So now Carey Baker's testicle hallucinations will have to wait a little longer to be placated.

  1. Do you ever read the comic Overcompensating? Jeffrey had a comic about this very issue.
