Michael Savage barred from Britain

The Wiener got his wiener spanked!

Has-been talk radio loudmouth Michael Savage is now one of 16 people publicly named as barred from entering Britain. Savage, host of a right-wing talk show based at KNEW in San Francisco (one of several explicitly conservative talk stations in that city), appeared on the Home Office's list because he has used his show to incite hatred.

Other Americans now banned from Britain include far-right pastor Fred Phelps and his daughter Shirley Phelps-Roper. The list also includes various unsavory characters from other countries.

What's Michael Sewage's reaction to being barred? He's gonna sue 'em to court!

Aw, did the poor widdle baby get offended?

  1. The Pail has been hijacked! First they tampered with Tim's poll, now they've stolen his blog. The real Tim Brown is an valiant defender of free speech, he'd never, ever stand for a person being barred because someone didn't like something that person said.

  2. I listen to Savage a lot. I listened to his show tonight at work. He was yelling about how he was going to sue someone but I never really could understand who he was going to sue. The UK? Some lady in the UK? He kept saying he was defamed, but I think when you are in the public as a talk show host, you put yourself to a different level of scrutiny. Defamation of a public figure is far more difficult to prove in court than if he were a private citizen. I'll bet he secretly loves the attention and you know his ratings will go through the roof no matter what happens. Didn't he try to sue Media Matters and someone else at one point? He is probably the most talented entertainer on talk radio but to take the man seriously would be ridiculous. A person can't be as smart as he is and believe what he spouts unless he is insane. He does the same thing as the other talk peeps though, spin, spin, spin for the extreme right wing machine. I love his stance on Big pharma though, he condemns the poisoning of kids with psychiatric medication. I love that, he is right on with that. I guess the guy aint all bad. I don't agree with a lot of what he says but I do like listening to the crazy bastard. I just wonder what his stance would be if Al Gore was providing his paycheck....I'd bet we'd see another side of Savage right quick (the "global warming" Savage). Why doesn't he go by his real name (Weiner) anyway? I guess it doesn't sound badass/right-wing enough.
