ACORN turns in alleged fraudsters

The lunatic right has had an obsession for years with trying to "catch" ACORN falsifying voter registrations.

Indeed, Republican operatives in Cleveland even submitted phony registrations to ACORN in attempt to set ACORN up.

Now 11 people in Miami are accused of submitting fake ACORN registrations. This time - like the others - it wasn't ACORN that submitted the bogus forms. It was ACORN that discovered this fraud and reported it to the proper authorities.

The local state attorney said of the 11 people, "We would not have known about these workers unless ACORN brought it to us."

An ACORN spokesman said, "This was really some individuals who were trying to defraud their employer." In other words, it was Republicans trying to frame ACORN. Again. As if it worked the first time.

The alleged fraudsters reportedly submitted fake registrations using the identities of national celebrities such as Paul Newman and James Taylor.
