G-20 command state

With the G-20 economic summit coming to Pittsburgh, some attempt to suppress demonstrators appears likely, much like what has happened at other economic forums in other cities.

But it's not just demonstrators. It's residents too.

KDKA-TV reports that thousands of folks who live near downtown Pittsburgh face rigid controls on their movements.

Apartment owners have been ordered to provide the city with a list of residents. Residents will be forced to show a photo ID at a checkpoint just to get to and from their own home.

Papers, please.
