Folks in Ball ain't having a ball

Beaumont, TX (12/30/09) - As thin as this blogging job wears, there's nothing like trying out new material on the road!

And when you witness an unreasonable Allowed Cloud, why not?

Today, we zipped through the town of Ball, Louisiana, to discover one such nagging nuisance.

The city of Ball had a sign in the median of the roadway declaring that using fireworks is illegal within city limits - at all times of the year.

Honestly, why???

Big banks can squander taxpayer funds to buy their CEO's fleets of jet airplanes, yet a person can't light a single firecracker in their own back yard?

Did America lose a - ah, never mind.

And you thought this "regulation for thee, not for me" bullshit I've lamented for years was just a myth!

If I lived in Ball, Louisiana, violating this Allowed Cloud would be a certainty.
