NFL teams arresting opponents' fans?

Now we know why they call it the No Fun League.

An Oakland Raiders fan says he had a negative experience when he traveled to Tampa Bay's Raymond James Stadium just to see the Buccaneers host his favorite NFL team.

The man says that when he began cheering for the Raiders, stadium personnel promptly handcuffed him. They took him to a holding cell, subjected him to a full body frisking, and ejected him from the venue.

All for rooting for the visiting team!

Stadium personnel offered no explanation for kicking him out of the game. The fan was not found to be in possession of any contraband. He was not being abusive to other folks at the stadium, and he was not under the influence of alcohol.

I thought hosting out-of-town fans was just part of the sports biz. There's a reason the visiting team is often called the guest team: Visiting players and fans are to be treated as guests - not as hostile invaders.

Guess the NFL boycott will continue.
