Wal-Mart sponsoring abusive youth cults?

Much like our schools, Corporate America is another venue where the country's close-knit web of totalitarians pollinates.

I've now learned that Wal-Mart - or at least one of its stores in St. George, Utah - sponsors something called the School of Life Foundation. The School of Life Foundation gives seminars to Eagle Ranch Academy - a behavior modification program in St. George described as "confirmedly abusive."

One bizarre clause in Eagle Ranch's parent agreement says that "graduates" may not (in many cases) live within 100 miles of the program upon leaving. The reason? "Protection of community image." If Eagle Ranch was such a great program, then wouldn't it be beneficial to have its "graduates" living nearby?

The antics of the web of control freaks in America's businesses and other organizations never end, do they?

  1. Thank you for helping to expose the corruption and abuse. I wish more bloggers/journalists showed your courage.
