Vermont to investigate NSA phone spying

I'm glad one state is growing some gumption!

Vermont's Public Service Board, which is responsible for regulating utilities, has decided to investigate whether Verizon and America's Toilets & Testes violated state privacy laws by giving customers' phone records to the NSA. (Here's a hint: They did.)

This is like an arrow across the ribs of the federal government's meddling in this important state case. The Bush regime thinks it has the power to stop a state from probing phone companies involved in the NSA scandal. The feds even sued Vermont to try to make it stop. Well, Vermont has news for them.

This Thanksgiving, be thankful for Vermont. These days, it's where the spirit of America lives on!
