Clinics spread hepatitis

Really great health care system we have, huh? This story is yet another example of how bad America's medical system has been allowed to become under the past quarter-century of greed-driven conservative rule.

You hear about North Korea using empty beer bottles as IV bags. The health care system in the United States hasn't slipped that far yet, but it's damn close. (Failed dictatorships are a lot alike, you know.) Nevada health officials now say serious violations have been found at 13 outpatient surgical centers in the Las Vegas area alone. These include reusing syringes.

A hepatitis C epidemic afflicting at least 6 patients has been traced to one facility. Now officials suggest that all 40,000 people who were treated at this center during the past 4 years should be tested for hepatitis and even HIV.

This is the health care system Americans have to live under these days?
