Rove gets unfriendly welcome for $40,000 speech

Ann Coulter got $25,000 just for giving one speech on a college campus. Then, Alberto Gonzales got $30,000. Now Bush thug Karl Rove gets $40,000. Oh well. With inflation being so out of control under Bush, I guess it's just a cost-of-living increase, huh?

Yesterday, Rove showed his ugly visage at the University of Iowa. The disgraced Republican aide was paid $40,000 just to give a speech there. But his reception was far from cordial. Nifty, huh?

Just before the speech, dissidents staged a mock trial of Rove. When he entered the auditorium, people booed and yelled "traitor!" and "war criminal!"

When students heckled the ethics-challenged clod, he shot back, "You got a chance to ask your questions later and make your stupid statements, let me make mine!" Two people also tried to make a citizen's arrest of Rove for crimes he committed when he worked for the Bush regime.

And about that $40,000, Karl. Near the end of the speech, a spectator yelled to Rove, "Can we have our $40,000 back?"

Rove hollered back, "No, you can't!"

The heckling serves Rove right after he helped make sure no dissenters were allowed anywhere near Bush at his rallies. Too bad it cost the University of Iowa $40,000 that could have been spent on things sort of like education, you know.

So now can the students have their $40,000 back, Karl? And can we all have our country back?
