States and cities sue Bush EPA for not following law

A year ago, the Supreme Court properly ruled that greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide are air pollutants (a fact that anyone could see) and must be regulated under the Clean Air Act. The ruling was prompted by the Bush regime's failure to enforce that law. The Supremes promptly ordered the Environmental Protection Agency to act.

But Bush is like, "A law? What law?" Bush's EPA has refused to take a single damn step in complying with the court's order.

So now 17 states, the District of Columbia, and the cities of New York and Baltimore are suing the EPA to try to make it follow the order that it's been ignoring.

The Supreme Court's ruling was (to use former Iraqi dictator Paul Bremer's favorite phrase) a binding instruction or directive, George, you idiot.
