Bonner hoax expands

After an employee of right-wing lobbying firm Bonner & Associates was found to have sent 6 phony letters to Rep. Tom Perriello's office under the names of 2 different Virginia organizations, more fake letters have now been discovered.

The congressman's office has now found that 2 more groups have had their names forged on letters to his office regarding the House's climate change bill.

The letters claim to be from the Jefferson Area Board for Aging and the Charlottesville branch of the American Association of University Women. But these are forgeries. These organizations did not send these letters. Bonner & Associates did.

In fact, the American Association of University Women doesn't even have a Charlottesville branch. Oops.

Now it turns out that other members of Congress have also been receiving the fraudulent letters. In addition to Virginia's Perriello, hoax letters were also received by Pennsylvania's Kathy Dahlkemper and Chris Carney.

Bonner & Associates needs to have its lobbying privileges revoked. This hoax constitutes mail fraud and wire fraud.
