Radio host threatens Obama

Bye, radio. You had everything going for you, and you threw it all away.

At WWJB in Brooksville, Florida, host Bob Haa is known for his tirades against what he calls "the Marxists." Not exactly creative radio, huh?

Now he's in trouble for threatening to assassinate President Obama.

According to one listener of Haa's airshift, the conversation went something like this:

Caller: "I'm ticked and frustrated at Obama. I'm loading up on ammunition. I'm going to be practicing."

Haa: "Don't be wasting it on targets. Save it for the administration."

It turns out that back in 2001, several folks reported that Haa was on the air promoting violence against county commissioners. This prompted a sheriff's investigation.

The threat against Obama prompted more angry calls to the courthouse. Now the Secret Service has decided it's seen enough, and they've launched a probe of Haa.

Republicans continue to praise Haa. Murray Grubbs, former head of the county GOP, said of Haa: "Very forthright. My kind of man. We need more like him."

The Republicans just in the past few days seem to have gone from a slow burn to just a whole new level of stupid.
