Graduate sues school

I'd love to do this to some of my former schools.

I'd love it, love it, love it!

A 27-year-old graduate of Monroe College in New York is suing her alma mater for $70,000 (the value of her tuition) because she hasn't been able to find a job since she earned her bachelor's degree.

She claims Monroe College promised her career advice and good job leads - but did not deliver.

I don't know enough about Monroe College to judge whether the suit has merit. But I certainly know of several schools that need to be held accountable for the quality of their education. Almost the entire school system of Campbell County, Kentucky, comes to mind.

If nothing else, maybe this suit will expose what a joke the American education system has become. These days, you practically need a college degree to get any job other than bank robber. Yet how many people can find a decent job in the field they actually majored in?

The plaintiff in this suit isn't much worse off than zillions of other Americans - who graduated from college years ago but haven't yet been able to find a job, other than at the cash register at their local Booger Burger.
