GOP sheriff candidate busted for child porn

Look at the photo at left. Now there's a face that's made for dartboards. He even looks like a big bully.

That's Scott Pruitt, a Republican candidate for sheriff in Forsyth County, Georgia. (Forsyth County was a major site of racist dumbfuckery 20 years ago, but that's another matter.) Running for office as a conservative Republican these days often means you have to have some sort of illegal sexual deviancy. And if the charges against Pruitt are true, he'd seem to be no exception!

Pruitt was fired as a deputy at the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office after he was charged with allegedly looking at child porn at work. Now he faces 20 felony counts of violating a computer child porn law for allegedly viewing the images on his patrol car computer.

Pruitt's website rants and raves about how tough on drugs he is, but once again I think this is an attempt to use the War on Drugs to hide one's own many failures.

After the Delbarton article and numerous entries on the old Conservative Fool Of The Day blog, I know what's probably going to happen here: Pruitt or one of his friends is probably going to log on to the comment section and cry about our unfairness for exposing the scandal. And they'll get a smackdown from the regulars of this blog and end up looking even sillier than before.

So go for it.
