Ooh, scary!

I bet Barack Obama's really terrified of this - not!

When the candidate said today that "the Clinton research operation is about as good as anybody's out there", Republican National Committee spokesperson Alex Conant responded that "should Barack Obama win the nomination, I'm sure Republicans will have plenty of arguments to level against" him.

Wow, such big talk, Alex.

This threat coming from the Republicans - a party that seems to be basing its entire campaign on continuing the failed war and Bush's irresponsible tax cuts for the rich, because they're out of ideas.

Why am I starting to get the feeling that 2006 was just the beginning of an agonizing end for the GOP? People have considerably less of an appetite for this shit now than they did in 2004.

The RNC is starting to sound like the big baby in 8th grade who used to go around saying, "Beware!" only to have it be an empty threat.

  1. Yeah, Tim, people are real tired of seeing their taxes reduced.

  2. You do realize the guy who writes this blog doesn't have a job aside from blogging, don't you? He is older than 30, doesn't go to school and very likely pays no income taxes.

  3. He did write a book but says sales have dried up. There's nothing wrong with writing for a living and if you can live off blogging, more power to you. But saying other people need to pay more taxes when he pays none is a problem.

  4. It's called Progressive Taxation.

Is there any reason why a person making $200K a year should NOT pay more than a person making $10K a year?
